The African Penguin is recognizable with its white belly studded with small spots, a real fingerprint. PAPO has recreated a short, stiff and black plumage on the back of the figurine and even the pinkish glands located above the eyes to regulate its body temperature. Endowed with thick webbed feet, the 'Black-footed Penguin' is incapable of flying: its wings cut in 'scythe' are used to propel itself underwater. Little anecdote: Reputed noisy, some compare its braying to the cry of a donkey.
